Product Owner

The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the development team. They act as the customer representative and work closely with the development team to define and prioritize product requirements and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Definition: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs and define product requirements.
  2. Backlog Prioritization: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable and highest-priority items are addressed first.
  3. Communication with the Team: Work closely with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of product requirements and address any questions or concerns that may arise.
  4. Participation in Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the development team in sprint planning, setting clear and defined goals for each iteration.
  5. Evaluation of Deliverables: Review and provide feedback on deliverables from the development team to ensure they meet product requirements and customer expectations.
  6. Decision Making: Make quick and data-driven decisions about the product direction and changes in requirements in response to customer and market needs.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and effectively communicate product progress and changes in requirements.
  8. Iteration and Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from customers and the development team to inform future iterations of the product and continuously improve its value and quality.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Previous experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in software product development.
  • Solid knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong customer orientation and ability to understand and represent their needs.
  • Ability to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and facilitating meetings.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and user experience (UX).
  • Preferably, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
