What does he/she do?
The UX Designer is a professional with the ability to research, analyze, and understand user needs in order to design solutions that add value to the customer while being viable and profitable for the company. A UX designer participates in all 5 phases of the Design Thinking process (Empathize – Define – Ideate – Prototype – Evaluate) and also plays a very active role throughout the entire solution design process.
Responsibilities:
- Design user experiences that create memorable moments for customers.
- Research users/customers for user experience creation and other UX practices (direct observation, user segmentation, surveys, etc.).
- Analyze data (KPIs, metrics).
- Create User Journeys and Personas, information architecture, decision and interaction flows, in conjunction with users/customers.
- Design style guides, wireframes, storyboards, and mockups to conceptualize user experiences.
- Design low and high-fidelity prototypes.
- Conduct and analyze user tests during the lifecycle of digital solution/product construction.
- Ability to document processes and provide adequate transfer, both to the UX team and to the development and business teams.
- Definition of information architecture (Generation of content diagrams, inventories, interaction flows, Card sorting, etc.).
- Experience in creating, executing, and moderating user testing (in-person and/or remote).
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Invision, or others).
